Living Life to the Full
The Cups of Our Lives: Holding, Lifting, Drinking, Celebrating

We long to live life to the full. We pray for revival for our souls as well as our church and world. Becoming fully alive means we can’t numb or filter out the pain or sorrow. As Jesus asked James and John, so he asks us, “Can you drink the cup?”

We will pause and consider our lives—our mysterious, mixed-up lives—from which we must drink it all (the pain and the glory, the sorrow and the joy) and have others help to lift the cup with us, “To Life!” and “To Him!” and celebrate with us. This retreat uses Scripture and is structured around Henri Nouwen’s book Can You Drink the Cup?

Come to Me: Beloved, Believing, Bold Women
Moving from solitude to community to service

This three-session retreat includes:

Come to Me: Beloved Women
As believers, God sees us as his beloved. That, not our brokenness or achievements, is our identity. Participants are invited to the gift of quiet and solitude with God and Scripture, which is the place where we hear and rest in being his beloved.

Come Together: Believing Women
The second gift is the invitation to true community. We will learn what it means to see each other well, to be believe the gospel for each other, to be present without fixing, to forgive and celebrate each other, and to worship and pray together.

Thy Kingdom Come: Bold Women
My prayer is that when we begin believing we are his beloved children and begin experiencing true community, we will become bold women finding our calling and place in this broken world.

Embracing God’s Plan “A” in Your Plan “Z” Life

When will we stop being shocked that our “Plan A’s” aren’t working out and start seeing God’s greater plan for our lives? In this retreat, I expose own Plan Z life and explore verses in Jeremiah showing God’s everlasting covenantal love for us, even in times of disaster and exile. We’ll take a deeper, contextual look at that oft quoted verse: For I know the plans I have for your life, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Remembering What Really Matters: Philippians 1-2

How can knowing the beginning and the end help you live together in the “middle” of it all?

In this retreat we look at Philippians as we remember our calling, remember the cost, remember together (why we need each other) and remember Jesus (why it’s worth it). This retreat has been effectively used for missions staff and teams.

Come Play with Me: God’s Invitation to Be a Child of God

When did we stop being children and get all “grown up?” Women coming to this retreat are weary and burdened in different ways: the weight of ministry, realities of this fallen world, fears for family, frustrations with their “not yet” lives. We are familiar with Jesus’ invitation to come to him for rest in Matthew 11:28. But preceding this verse Jesus says

At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do. Matthew 11:25

During this retreat, we’ll study Jesus’ commands to come to him as children and how to apply that to our lives. We will rediscover our inner-child-of-God and give ourselves permission to come and play with Him. There will be times to “play” with the group and times alone to practice coming to God as a child. My prayer is that you’ll rediscover (or believe for the first time) your Abba’s delight in you as his beloved, delighted-in daughter.

Recalibrating: Finding Our Way Home in a Disorienting World through God’s Prevailing Spirit (GPS)

Jesus’ Farewell Address in John 13-17

Jesus knew the hard times ahead for his disciples and he did not leave them as orphans but gave them His Spirit. In this retreat, we will learn ways to discern and follow the Holy Spirit and recalibrate when lost. Women will explore their unique Kingdom calling so they know when they are beginning to stray. And most importantly, they will see Jesus as their true home.

So Much More/So Much Loved
Romans 5, Ephesians 1-3

Women often battle the lies that they are too much or not enough. In this retreat we will study the “so much mores” found in Scripture, especially in Romans 5 and Ephesians 1-3. We will have times of heart sharing, and believing afresh God’s words about and for ourselves, and rediscovering God’s “so much more” purposes and “so much more” love for us.
